A branch of Paradise Creek descends through immense rectangular blocks of stone. The cascade is known as the Giant Steps. The falls seen at the end of the trail are attractive, but my favourite views are a short way downstream, reached by a minor path to the right. Beware of slippery, wet rock near the Giant Steps. The smooth rock that you cross to get close to the waterfalls can be as slippery as if it were greased. From the trail, you get good views of Eiffel Peak and its remarkable Tower. You can combine this trip with the Lake Annette Highline Trail to make a loop.
