Cory Pass is an arduous trip through craggy peaks, highlighted by awesome views of the nearby vertical slabs of Mt. Louis. Mountain sheep frequent the pass, which is often plugged with snow till mid-July. A few hikers are intimidated on the west side of the circuit by a short cliff band; it can be avoided by going to and from Cory Pass via the eastern Edith Pass route. I prefer doing the circuit counterclockwise to take best advantage of the morning and afternoon sun on the great summits and the Bow Valley.
