Difficult hiking on deteriorating and overgrown trail. Survey Peak can be seen from the David Thompson Heritage Trail along the Howse River. Howse Pass is below timberline and is the gateway between the Blaeberry River and the North Saskatchewan River valleys. Despite the poor hiking trail, this segment is the real gem of the entire section. You will find stunning views—especially when you reach the Howse River flood plain. Wildlife activity adds to the charm of this segment. In some areas it may be difficult to distinguish animal tracks because of their number and variety. currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
