Named after Chief Tom Snow of the Wesley Band of the Stoney Nakoda First Nation, the Tom Snow is an easy long-distance trail that connects the Elbow to the Jumpingpound via a tortuous routethrough the forests, cutblocks and natural meadows of the valley bottoms. It would be hard to find a more eclectic route in its use of logging roads, cutlines, new and old exploration roads and new and old trails, many sections having several aliases such as ski trails, bike trails, interpretive trails and even the Trans Canada Trail.
