The old Indian trail up Pekisko Creek (George Dawson used it in 1884), later turned cattle trail to Cataract Creek, since augmented by cutlines and exploration roads and formerly the domain of the explorer, range rider and hunter, is finally a mountain bike trail, a section of something called "the Willow Creek Wanderer". This is not what you wanted to hear, but don't cross it off your list of hiking trails. It's still a good trail for people on foot who want to explore the lovely meadow country at the back of Mt. Burke. Backpackers should use it in conjunction with other trails to make loops, such as Sentinel Pass, Iron Creek and Willow Creek, or Salter Creek, Lower Cataract Creek, Zephyr Creek and Bear Creek.
