The `Kootenay Ridge', as Geologist John Allan called it in 1947, is a heavenly ridge walk where it's possible to pick off four tops named, even further back in time, `the Pocaterra Peaks'. Scrambling is optional (the ridge is mostly grass), exposure is nil and you can escape from almost anywhere in the event of a thunderstorm. It is, though, a strenuous flog. Hike it in combination with #111 to make a loop. With two cars you can make it a one-way trip to Highwood Pass, also using #111.

Trails.com currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
