This trail offers a mellow cycling tour of the Athabasca Valley at Jasper. It's a fascinating place with forests of Douglas fir, lodgepole pine and spruce, and some expansive grassy meadows. Highlights include some very pretty lakes that are often warm enough for a swim, the muddy, roiling waters of the Athabasca River, and the rushing waters, springs and canyon of the Maligne River. Watch for bears and elk. Upstream of the Fifth Bridge lies Maligne Canyon, one of the most popular attractions in Jasper. Cycling is not allowed on the trails along the canyon rim to avoid conflicts with hikers, however, we highly recommend pushing your bike along this super-scenic section of trail. currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
