An extensive upland, known locally as the west bench, lies to the west of the Columbia River near Golden. It is a rolling landscape that was logged extensively by the Columbia River Lumber Company at the turn of the century, when a train was used to haul the logs from the bench down to the main valley at Nicholson.

Trails.com currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
