The mountainside above the mining town of Kimberley hosts a wide variety of singletrack and doubletrack trails in an area known as the Kimberley Nature Park. In addition, a network of cross-country ski trails that begin at the upper parking lot at the ski hill are integrated with the nature park trails. The area is a mid-elevation mountainside covered with fir and pine forest. Lower slopes with a southern exposure, such as Sunflower Hill, are covered by ponderosa pine and bunchgrass. This network of trails includes everything from old roads to difficult singletrack.
