A good logging road leads up the valley of Sage Creek and ends below the Continental Divide. Begin cycling wherever you please; I suggest starting about 9km from Kishinena Road, which still leaves some 20 km of mountain bike cruising. The cycling is continuously easy with a moderate uphill grade. The valley of Sage Creek is typical of the western slope of the southern Rockies. The creekbed is a sparkling artist’s palette of red and green argillites and black lava rocks. At lower elevations the forest is a mix of Douglas fir, pine, larch and aspen. As you move up the valley the effects of a long-past and major fire-storm are evident; much of the forest is deciduous aspen and alder with a few snags standing sentinel. currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
