It was winter 1946 and the RCAF Dakota aircraft was making a flight across the mountains west of Blairmore. Somewhere near Andy Good Peak the unthinkable happened. The plane hit the mountainside, exploded and tumbled down the steep snow-covered slopes. There were no survivors. Winter avalanches and souvenir hunters have worked their ways on the wreckage, but the trail section, a wing, a motor and parts of the landing gear can still be found.

Trails.com currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
