With unspoiled vistas and spectacular rock cliffs, this spot is a “must” for anglers interested in exploring and fishing a remote area in Baja. You’ll find a few sandy beaches here but the area is primarily rocky coastline. Carry everything needed for the day, especially water, and wear good shoes for some rock hopping. There are a number of areas to fly fish that you’ll probably have to yourself. With the exception of a few local anglers, these areas haven’t seen much tackle, let alone a fly. It all adds up to unique fly fishing, inaccessibility and solitude. Types of Fish: Shore: Rooster, jacks, ladyfish, giant needlefish, pompano, sierra. Inshore: Dorado, rooster, bonita, skipjack, sierra, jacks, pompano, triggerfish and giant needlefish. Offshore: Marlin, sailfish, tuna, wahoo, dorado. This eTrail covers the "where, when, and how" to fish in this region. You'll get a full-page map and information on the known hatches, suggested equipment to bring, and the best flies to use.
