Agua Verde is the reputed model for the village described in Gene Kira’s popular novel, King of the Moon. This area has rocky and sandy shoreline that provides cover for a variety of fish species including cabrilla, triggerfish, rooster, sierra, barracuda, pargo and pompano. A few miles offshore, you’ll find dorado, skipjack and yellowfin tuna. Types of Fish: Shore: Rock areas- cabrilla, grouper, triggerfish, pompano and croaker. Sand areas- jacks, rooster, pompano, ladyfish, giant needlefish, sierra, pargo, corvina. Inshore: Dorado, rooster, bonito, sierra, jacks, barracuda, triggerfish, cornet fish, needlefish.
