Navigate arroyos and abandoned dirt roads to explore a seldom-visited landscape tucked between the Navajo and Laguna reservations. This hike takes you to one corner full of mystical formations, but plenty more await rediscovery by those prepared to wander. If you think the road coming out here was rough, try driving beyond the gate. On second thought--don't. Only in the broadest sense of the word do these rutted imprints qualify as "roads." A few years ago, Southwest Off-Road Enterprises used them for an annual dirt-bike rally called the Oh My God 100. Oddly, contenders didn't find the course challenging enough, so SORE moved the rally to a locale near Cuba, New Mexico. Aside from the near-complete disintegration of the old racecourse, very little has since happened on this land, which is why those who know of it (and few do) still refer to it as the Oh My God.
