A walk in the country best describes what this peaceful park in the heart of North Surrey has to offer. Trails follow the winding Serpentine River through meadows and woodland, beneath tall conifers and past remnants of old orchards. The park is a haven for small mammals, birds and the trout and salmon fry reared at the Tynehead Hatchery. Several entrances to the park offer a choice of itinerary to suit both energetic walkers and leisurely strollers. In any case, the park is just as enjoyable for winter walks as for summer rambles, and you will want to visit more than once. Highlights: Forest, meadows and river; Sitka spruce, nurse logs; wildflowers; bushtits; butterflies. Terrain: Gentle slopes. Woodland and field paths. One section accessible to wheelchairs. currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time.
