This 5000-ha (12,355 acres) wilderness of lakes, rivers and forested slopes is managed by the University of British Columbia for research and instruction in the practice of forestry. Information on the region’s history and present use can be obtained from the forest headquarters. In the demonstration area at the forest’s southern end visitors can choose from four colour-coded trails, ranging from easy, well-groomed paths to a 3-hour hiking trail. If this sounds a little tame, don’t be misled: the circuit described here combines the blue, green and connector trails to provide a varied journey with plenty of ups and downs. Marking is discreet, so be careful to stay on route.

Trails.com currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
