This is an easy and leisurely way to take in some of the Capitol City's best vistas and most historic sights. This flat ride can be completed in a matter of hours or in days with time spent exploring its many attractions, including the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials, the Smithsonian Institute, the U.S. Capitol Building, the Supreme Court, and the National Gallery of Art. Meander along the breezy Potomac River past the waterfalls of the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial to the base of the Washington Monument. Terrain: for the most part flat, except for short climbs to the Washington Monument and Capitol Building. Traffic is largely avoided along paths or sidewalks, but portions of the ride can include heavy traffic.
