The park is a donation of the late K.C. Irving to the people of New Brunswick. Opened to the public in June 1992, it has proved a very successful recreation site for New Brunswickers. The main attraction of this trail is the variety of different ecosystems it includes, ranging from the rugged Fundy Coast to tidal mudflats and a marsh. Of particular interest is the spur trail into the Saints Rest Marsh, which contains marram grass and frequent visits by great blue herons, black ducks, and greater yellowlegs. The trail is very well maintained with bridges and boardwalk sections across muddy parts. The park is open during daylight hours. Trail Condition: very well maintained.
