The main feature of this nature trail is the large variety of trees that make up the surrounding mature forest. Sugar maples abound. These trees have been a source of sugar for North American Indians for hundreds of years, and their sap is used to produce maple Maple seeds and leaves syrup. In New Brunswick, you can always reach some outpost of civilization within a couple of days and usually much sooner — provided, of course, that you are able to use map and compass. It is not smart to undertake a multi-day trip without some basic training in their use, and such training could even come in handy on long day hikes. Trail Condition: dry. currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
