It seems fitting to end the book with one of the first trails ever constructed in the area. In 1960, the trails we hike today (Mapleton, Irishtown, the Trans Canada Trail) did not exist, and Centennial Park was still very much a wilderness park. But Dr. Arthur Dobson, and a group of hard working volunteers, who shared his vision, had already blazed and cleared a hiking trail through the wilderness from what would become Riverview to Fundy National Park. Dr. Dobson is the nephew of Byron Dobson, the man who built most, if not all, of the homes in Riverview Heights, before it was amalgamated into the Town of Riverview. Dr. Dobson had read about the Appalachian Trail in National Geographic and wished for something similar in this area. The rest is history. This trail guide includes information and descriptions for Main Trail and Mill Creek Loop Trail. currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
