Wedgeport: This is an ideal trail for a family walk. There are very few and quite gentle hills, and the trail can be undertaken in smaller sections if 5 km (3 mi) is too much. However, this is not suitable for those wanting a challenging hike. Bring your binoculars and a bird book, because there is a great deal of both natural and human activity all around you. Walking near dusk, there was an unending procession of fishing boats on their way to the dock. Several species of duck can be heard, and occasionally observed, swimming around the marsh. Chebogue Meadows: This is an interesting and informative outdoor educational opportunity, providing valuable insights into both the natural and the managed forests of Nova Scotia.
