If you wish to go for a overnight backpacking experience in Nova Scotia, you will almost certainly find yourself on this trail. The Kejimkujik backcountry is filled with lakes, interesting vegetation, and abundant wildlife. Between Frozen Ocean and Peskawa lakes, you will be in a rarely traveled area. In most years, fewer than 100 people per year have registered for this trip around the backcountry. This trek can be undertaken either as part of a multi-day excursion around the entire park, with several side-trip possibilities, or as an overnight out and back hike. I have suggested camping at site 43, but this will require a full day of walking from Big Dam Lake. Sites 44 and 45 are common alternatives, especially if you plan to return along the same route.

Trails.com currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
