Few North American cities are blessed with an island wilderness in sight of their business and financial centre. The site of a French fishing station more than a hundred years before the founding of Nova Scotia’s capital city, and frequented by native peoples long before that, McNabs has been an important part of Halifax’s recreational area for generations. You can reach the island only by boat, and the ride is enjoyable for its own sake. Remember, the ocean has a far different climate, and even the short distance you travel by boat will expose you to the winds of the Atlantic Ocean with temperatures 5° or 10° C cooler than on the land. Be prepared. currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
