The Kenomee Trail Society has been developing paths in the Cobequid Mountains for several years. In August 2000, the Devil’s Bend Trail officially opened, extending far up the Economy River towards the large waterfall. I think it is fair to say that this trail may not be for everyone, although it is worth whatever effort required to complete. At 13 km (8 mi) for the return trip, this walk is within the range of most fit people. However, hikers should be warned that this is a real wilderness trail. For most of its length it is a narrow footpath. Further, it passes through a rugged landscape of hills and valleys, with the trail climbing the hillside several times. This route is much more challenging than most Nova Scotia hikes, so expect to be quite tired by the time you finish. currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
