A challenging trail ride near Evergreen. Beginners could enjoy this ride, but not without learning quite a bit along the way. This route visits two forested open space parcels near Evergreen, a bedroom community in the mountains southwest of Denver. Evergreen offers its local cyclists a lot of cool options for off-roading (and on-roading). One of the best features of the area is Dedisse Park (owned by the city of Denver), quite close to Evergreen Lake and the nucleus of the community. Virtually unknown to nonlocals (i.e ., the insuer ff able Denver people), Dedisse includes some very nice singletrack winding from one end of the park to the other, with about 800 feet of climbing in between.
