A 71-mile scenic route along southeastern Connecticut’s historic coastline. This scenic route traverses 71 miles of southeastern Connecticut’s coastline, passing numerous historic areas and towns, and crossing the unspoiled mouth of New England’s longest river while offering tranquil vistas of sandy beaches, salt marshes, and dense woodlands. Worlds away from the Nutmeg State’s busy urban centers, this lovely drive parallels coves, inlets, and beaches along Long Island Sound between Rhode Island and the outskirts of New Haven.
