The Silvery Slocan Tour is a 224-kilometer (134-mile) loop trip through the West Kootenay that travels alongside two mountain-rimmed lakes and links together some of the oldest and most picturesque towns in BC. The area also has the province’s greatest concentration of ghost towns and other reminders of its past gold rushes. Although the loop is described from Nelson, it can be entered at several places depending upon the direction you are coming from. Special attractions: Excellent mountain scenery; historic buildings in all the towns; the ghost towns of Sandon, Kootenay and Slocan Lakes; Ainsworth Hot Springs. This eTrail is a complete description of a scenic drive with a route map and information on the best travel seasons, interesting sites, recreation opportunities, camping locations, and much more. currently offers topo maps from the entire United States. We plan to expand our topomap database in the future, however this map is not available at this time. Thank you for your understanding.
