Twin Peaks Trail is one Chugach’s most popular trails—and with good reason. It combines great scenery with adventure, Alaskan wilderness, and opportunity for exploration. The trail gains an elevation of 1,500 feet and affords extraordinary views of Eklutna Lake and Twin Peaks. East Twin Peak climbs to 5,873 feet; West Twin is 5,401 feet. The trail is steep but easy to follow. On some days you will literally be walking in the clouds. There are a couple of benches along the first part of the trail where you can sit and take a break or just pause to marvel at the outstanding views of the valley and Twin Peaks.
