Roughly 65 miles long, the lower portion stretches from Springville Dam to the mouth, some 30 miles, and includes the fabulous Zoar Valley, a gorge with cliffs soaring up to 300 feet above the water. A shallow stream at the dam, it grows steadily, becoming river-size by the time it flows into Lake Erie. Key species: Steelhead
