Springing out of the hills north of the Madison County village of Georgetown, this stream winds its way south for more than 40 miles, forms Whitney Point Reservoir, and feeds the Tioughnioga River about 1 mile below the dam. The 3,168-acre Whiten Point Reservoir is set in gently rolling countryside, averages 10 feet deep, and has a maximum depth of 25 feet. It is fed and drained by the Otselic River. Key species: Brown trout, walleyes, black bass, tiger muskie, yellow perch, black and white crappie, and smallmouth bass.
