This small stream pours out of the hills a couple of miles south of Booneville and feeds the Mohawk River about 8 miles later. The Upper Mohawk River stretches from its headwaters to its mouth on the New Erie Canal in Rome. The 2,500-acre Delta Lake averages 22 feet deep and has a maximum depth of 60 feet. Key species: Brown trout, brook trout, northern pike, walleye, black bass, yellow perch, black crappie, and brook trout.
