Short Take: 37,500 acres; shallow stumps, timber, hydrilla, hyacinths, flats, islands, natural springs, two river channels. If ever a single impoundment could be called synonymous with southern bass fishing, it would be Lake Seminole, the 37,500 acre impoundment on the Chattahoochee and Flint Rivers along the Georgia/Florida state line. Seminole has it all: acres of standing timber, vegetation, stumps, trophy bass, old fishing camps, and legendary fishermen. Surprisingly, there are only two tributaries here, Spring Creek and Fish Pond Drain, both of which are stunningly beautiful. Spring Creek is by far the largest, and since it is spring-fed, often has exceptionally clear water. All of this shallow-water habitat has contributed to making Seminole an excellent topwater bass lake. Primary Species: Largemouth bass.
