Located off the causeway crossing the Intracoastal Waterway to Saint Simons Island, the Mackay River access point offers anglers two fishing piers and a boat ramp. Just a short distance down the road from the Little River catwalk, a paved double-lane boat ramp and two fishing piers give anglers good access to the Mackay River and Saint Simons Sound. The roadbed of the old Saint Simons Island causeway is used to give shoreline anglers easy access to both sides of the river. Key species: croaker, flounder, whiting, sheepshead.
