Bobelaine is 430 acres of riparian forest, owned by the National Audubon Society and managed by the Sacramento Audubon Society. Signs warn against the possibility that limbs from trees killed in the 1992 fire may break off with no warning, or even that an entire tree may fall. Specialty birds: Resident—Wood Duck, Nuttall’s Woodpecker, Yellowbilled Magpie, Western Bluebird. Summer—Western Wood-Pewee, Ashthroated Flycatcher, Black-headed Grosbeak, Bullock’s Oriole. Migrants—Willow Flycatcher; Black-throated Gray and MacGillivray’s Warblers; Western Tanager.
