This sod farm is just north of Interstate 16 near Statesboro.It offers a good opportunity to look for grassland shorebirds and herons in fall. A selection of adjacent habitats offers good birding at any time of year. Access is easy, and the dirt roads are in good condition except after rain. Some parts can be accessed from paved roads, namely Georgia Highway 46 and Sinkhole Road. This area is private land, so birding is from the roads only. Key birds: Buff-breasted and Upland Sandpipers, American Golden-Plover, Pectoral Sandpiper, Least Sandpiper, White Ibis, Common Ground-Dove, Horned Lark, American Pipit, Vesper Sparrow, swallows.
