This walk can be wet and steep in areas, but it is very remote and beautiful. While not suitable for small children or those not up to the strenuous parts, this is a blissful walk through some quiet woods over a cobbled stream with small waterfalls, through rolling meadows, and along stone walls. You have the option of parking a car at both ends of this walk (one on Old Route 20 [Walnut Hill Road] and one on Route 20) or retracing your steps to either starting point. The trailhead is off the right (north) side of Walnut Hill Road. (For walks heading the other direction, see Walks 5 and 6.) Follow the blue blazes as the trail leaves the road and soon crosses a delightful brook.
