Pineridge Cross-Country Ski Area is located in the foothills of the Taconic and Berkshire Mountains between the Massachusetts border and the capital city of Albany. Pineridge is surrounded by thousands of acres of forest land with ski trails winding through groves of hardwoods and evergreen trees. The property is inhabited by abundant wildlife, including deer, fox, turkey, beaver, and otter. The wilderness-like trails offer a wide variety of skiing and snowshoeing for beginners as well as trails that can test even the experts. The trails travel along the picturesque Poestenkill Creek and climb to an elevation of 1,746 feet, offering views of the Taconic Mountain Range in New York and Mt. Greylock in Massachusetts. Snowshoeing is permitted on all trails except two (Round Top and Snow Slide), and there are miles of trails designated for snowshoes only. Surface quality: Groomed and tracked for classic and skating techniques. Fees: yes.
