Established in 2005, Gabriola Island’s 707-Acre Community Park shows great recreational promise. It consists primarily of recently logged-over lands and a myriad of old roads and trails. Hiking here once meant assured disorientation, but that changed in 2013 with the installation of new and excellent signage throughout the park. Stroll miles of old logging roads and trails in Gabriola Island’s largest park, a large swath of public land in the center of the island. Explore meadows, wetlands, regenerating forests, and hillsides that grant a few views out to Vancouver Island's mountains.
