This hike is perfect for families who want to explore the area near the Lewis and Clark Trail. You won’t have to eat the family dog or walk barefoot through the snow to enjoy the sweeping valley views afforded by this journey. Enjoy granite rock outcroppings, ridgetop hiking, fat stands of ponderosa pines, giant lone larches, and a lush creek bottom on this loop. Follow along with the interpretive brochure offered at the trailhead as it describes twenty numbered sites you will encounter along the way. Nearby Lolo Hot Springs is a nice way to unwind after the hike; the resort offers an indoor hot pool and a cooler outdoor pool.
