A five- to seven-day variation on the Goat Trail route featured elsewhere in this book. This route option stays in the high country all the way to the end at Wolverine instead of dropping down to the Chitistone River. It passes through the lovely Hasen Creek basin where you are almost assured of spotting lots of sheep. This trail includes difficult stream crossings, steep scree slopes. Challenges are similar to those on the Goat Trail, although this variation avoids the sometimes difficult crossing of Toby Creek. One section of the route includes traversing steep scree slopes. There is a path across the slopes, but it is narrow and not maintained. Some may find the exposure to be more than they care to take on.
