A stunning valley that is rich with opportunities for exploration. The area offers terrain that is as diverse as it is impressive and includes luxurious valleys, hanging glaciers, alpine ridges, and massive glaciers. A great area for base-camping or a loop trip. Iceberg Lake is the local name for a glacially dammed lake (called a joukaloup) in a valley just north of the massive Bagley Ice Field. Bears and wolverine have been spotted in the valley, and the rocky ridges are home to lots of whistling marmots. Iceberg Lake is the starting point for several extended treks but is also an excellent spot for base camping or for a combination backpack/base-camp trip that begins and ends at the airstrip near the lake.
