A true adventure through virtually untouched Alaskan wilderness. From glaciers to glacial rivers and from tundra to thick brush, the route encompasses all aspects of a classic trip in Wrangell-St. Elias National Park. The route has only been completed a few times. Follow the obvious trail that leads north from Bremner airstrip. The trail is the remnant of an old road that linked the various mines in the region. You’ll have no trouble following the path to the clearly visible structures where the route to Tebay Lakes gets under way. Looking up the slope to the west, you’ll see a line of rusty iron pipes leading down the hillside to what was once a power station with a water-driven turbine.
