A richly varied two- to four-day loop trip that heads up Trail Creek to a 6,000-foot pass, then down the other side and back to the Nabesna Road via Lost Creek. Sheep may be spotted in the area of the pass. The trail starts at the Trail Creek trailhead marked by a signpost surrounded by a column of rocks located 80 feet north of the Nabesna Road. It begins as an ATV trail, but that should not put off hikers. The way is mostly over rocky gravel bars, so there are no muddy ATV ruts on this one. In fact, at times the trail is fairly subtle.
