A mostly straightforward hike into Soda Lake on an obvious ATV trail. Once at Soda Lake, opportunities to explore the open tundra abound as the terrain becomes more open. The trail starts at the Lost Creek trailhead, which is visible from Nabesna Road. Follow the ATV trail as it winds through the trees near the creek for about 1.5 miles. From Soda Lake there are all sorts of opportunities for exploration on wide-open tundra, including the plateau to the south of Soda Lake. If you’re feeling ambitious, you could explore the Boyden Hills region that lies south of the Platinum Creek area.
