A short but rewarding hike of a little over an hour that features nice views of the Wrangell Mountains and a small lake as the final destination. The trailhead is about a hundred yards up a gravel road from the turnoff on the Edgerton Highway. A trail register that includes a map marks the start of the trail. The first part of the trail is a bit steep as you head up the small ridge through a spruce forest. There are a few sections where the trail gets a bit steep and rocky, so watch your footing.
