A short and easy hike through a spruce forest with a slight grade to give you a little more exercise. This would make a great trail run with plenty of mosquitoes to provide motivation to maintain the pace. The trail begins at the signed trailhead at mile 34.7 on the McCarthy Road. The trail travels entirely through spruce forest, which makes it shady and cool but also buggy. Best to do this one after the bugs have begun to die back around mid-August.
