Glennallen is a popular lunch stop on the way to the park. This little community trail is an easy, mile-long stroll through a shady wood that makes a nice walk after lunch. The path begins in an aspen and white spruce forest, then moves through black spruce and finally into a sedge meadow. There is a bench near the start of the trail that offers a view of downtown Glennallen. The trail passes through some wet, shaded areas, so bug spray is highly recommended. The trail, part of a winter ski-trail network, is marked with red aspen-leaf markers at trail intersections.
