If you are looking for a real easy afternoon or are taking some new climbers to the cliff for the first time, then this is the place for you. All the way on the far eastern stretches of the Camino Cielo lies this short beginner’s cliff right on the side of the road. You won’t see much automobile traffic on this end of the road, so it’s a fairly safe place to climb considering its location. When Steve Edwards originally developed this crag, it was received with skepticism due to the proximity to the road, but as time went on, people realized it had its purpose. The crag sees a lot of shade during the day due to its northwestern-facing cliff, and the routes are well equipped, but always be aware of loose rock—the sandstone always has the potential to break.
