Nob Hill is a collection of six neighborhood additions spanning from Lomas Blvd. to Zuni Rd., and from Girard Blvd. to Washington St. It’s best known for its lively atmosphere of shopping and dining along Historic Route 66. Residential blocks north and south of the popular thoroughfare are showcases of eclectic, sometimes ostentatious architecture. It’s self-billed as “Albuquerque’s Most Fabulous Neighborhood,” though also occasionally referred to as “Snob Hill,” which seems less appropriate. Evidence of snootiness is scant. You’re more likely to encounter charming denizens throughout this beauteous route. Be warned, however, that this progressive feast/pub crawl is not for amateurs. The number of options for cocktails and cuisine is staggering. Pace yourself accordingly.
