This route loops through recent residential developments and an ancient landscape within the boundaries of Petroglyph National Monument. It’s the first of three walks in areas currently in the early stages of development. Describing routes like this can be exceptionally challenging because it involves both interpreting history and predicting the future; a walk description written in 2014 might not accurately reflect what visitors will find here in 2015 or later. In either case, a visit to Las Imágenes Visitor Center is highly recommended prior to setting out on this walk. There you can get the latest updates on sites throughout the monument.
